Along with the D FA 15-30mm F2.8 and D FA 24-70mm F2.8, the D FA★ 70-200mm F2.8 is part of the "holy trinity" of full-frame zooms launched specifically for the Pentax K-1.  The 70-200mm is designated as a "star" lens, denoting the highest level of optical performance that Pentax offers.
