As the existing lineup of SMC Pentax-DA Limited pancake lenses is soon going to be replaced by a new series of "HD" lenses with updated coatings, you can enjoy pre-MAP sale pricing on all the current lenses at the NYC-based Pentax retailers, while supplies last. This translates to savings of $100-200 on each lens! Refer to the table below for details.

Now's the perfect chance to pick up one of these compact high-performance primes if you'd like to save some cash, as each "HD" version will cost at least $150 more than sale price indicated above! The new versions of these lenses will have the same optics but with an improved lens coating and rounded aperture blades (and also a slightly modified external appearance). We will of course be reviewing the new lenses shortly after their US debut in order to evaluate the performance and practical significance of the new coating.
