If you order two or more shirts, you will get free Marketplace access on our forum. $5 of each shirt sale will be donated to the forum.

The time has come for us to select the design to use for the 2013 PentaxForums.com T-shirt!
We launched a design contest a couple of weeks ago, and we now have 99 user-submitted designs which could potentially be used for the shirt. Please help us out by voting for your favorite designs!
The poll will close on or just before April 1st, and at that point, the staff will name one of the top 10 shirts the winner! The shirts will go on sale shortly thereafter, and the author of the design will receive a Pentax 70mm lens. Good luck to all who entered the contest!
Forum member Heie has just posted a giveaway photo contest where you could win his storied copy of the SMC DA* 16-50mm F2.8 lens! Essentially, this is a contest where photo or video submissions must accompany a written portion.
Unable to just sell it off, Heie decided to give it away in this format because of all the history they shared together. In his words, his DA* 16-50 "has come running with me. It has been rock climbing with me. It has shivered under countless showers. It has been entirely submerged under the talcum-like contents of an Afghan sandbag. It has deployed to Afghanistan for an entire twelve months. It has taken part in combat operations in Afghanistan. It has seen and captured the tears of Afghan schoolboys being handed humanitarian aid in the form of backpacks, school supplies, and Beanie Babies. It has honed its aperture to the emotional crumbling of warriors during a memorial for their fallen brethren. It has shot true despite tears making the viewfinder blind to what lay through the other side. It has witnessed the withering light that is the hope of some of Afghanistan's own weathered and tired veterans of wars lasting lifetimes. It has survived the Kepler and Rakiura Tracks of New Zealand, as well as her fiords' waterfalls from being forced to go directly under them."

World Pentax Day: February 23-24, 2013

The next World Pentax Day (WPD) is actually going to be a World Pentax Weekend and it will take place on Saturday and Sunday, February 23rd thru February 24th, 2013. This is our thirteenth installment of the WPD and we hope to see as many members as possible partake in the event!
If you've never participated before, World Pentax Day is an event open to everyone in which you simply go out and shoot, and then post your favorite photos in the special event gallery. Thus, as community we will create a snapshot of what the world looked like during that day.
We encourage you to get together with your photo friends or local photo club and use this day as an excuse to go out and put your camera to good use, especially if this will be your first WPD.
We will also be giving away some nice manual Pentax lenses to three lucky particpants of WPD (winners will be drawn randomly)!
The rules of the event are simple! The photos you upload must:
- Be taken with a Pentax camera (or a rebadged clone)
- Be taken on February 23rd or 24th, 2013 in your timezone
Starting on February 23rd you will be able to upload up to 5 of your favorite photos to the event gallery, which is linked below.

The link above will go live on the 23rd, and the gallery will remain open through March 12th. Once again, only photos taken on 2/23/2013 or 2/24/2013 may be uploaded to this gallery.
