TEST: SMC PENTAX DA* 55mm 1.4 SDM WR vs FULL FRAME

Hello, I´ve just made new TEST of the lens suitable for APS-C on Full FRAME body. The lens is legend PENTAX DA* 55mm 1.4 SDM WR, full frame body is Pentax MZ-S...
There is set with Lens hood and set of photos with lens hood attached...
Interesting point is that Camera is setting minimal aperture not to 1.4 but to 1.5 ...

thank you for the effort. As a owner of the DA*55 it's reassuring to know this lens will be compatible with the new FF when it comes out.-Regards

Perhaps you should make your watermark a bit bigger? I can still see some of the image...

That's a good result wide open - still easily corrected in post-processing. I had forgotten the MZ-S would print exposure information on the film between the holes - I thought that was a neat trick when the MZ-S came out.

I am really thinking about buying this lens if (when) a FF body is released, it seems to be a particularly impressive one (even if many reviews are quite hard on the focusing speed)

Yes Aurele, for me this was the biggest surprise On the LCD it was showing 1.4... On film it is 1.5... And I do not know why?

MZ-S is just amazing camera... I like design, colour of LCD backlight, some features like bayonet light... Good ergonomics, Pentax digital SLR Full Frame could be in this way
