I have not looked carefully but after a quick review of the lens prices they appear to be less generous this year than last year. Any thoughts?

EDIT: By the way this is a duplicate of a message I posted in the Price Watch section but because it is waiting for moderator approval I decided to post here. I tried to delete the other thread but even that is not allowed until the moderators approve - annoying. I will delete the price watch thread as soon as it is approved - assuming that is allowed.

FA31 limited at $773 is a really good deal. I jumped in anyway.

From what I can tell, the price on the 15mm is really good, and the price on the 20-40mm is the same as the lowest prices I've seen in earlier sales, but a lot of the other prices left me underwhelmed. For instance, I paid about $40 less for the 77mm during a sale in September.

Some prices are great, but in general they aren't better than the recent sale about 2-3 weeks ago. So it's not so much a Black Friday sale as a standard sale for this year.

The 55-300WR is a very solid deal this year at $258 from the Pentax Store IMHO as evidenced by my purchase of one.

Yes, the price on the 15mm is very nice. It hurt to spend a $100 more on the 1.4 TC than what I could have gotten the 15mm for... :-/ Beautiful lens that 15 but hopefully next year.. ;-)

I'm not impressed so far. I've had my eye on one of the cheaper 50mm primes. It runs $135 usually on Amazon. Everybody else it's considerably more. Black Friday prices so far are about $6 cheaper than normal for this lens I think. Ditto the Sigmas 60mm M43 I've been eying. Not much price-wise that I haven't been seeing pretty much all year round and ignored already. I'm not seeing much by way of unusual bargains, yet. I'm watching them but unless they drop considerably on Amazon I'm not going there. I did get lucky last year with the Olympus M43 lenses, but I'm just not seeing any major bargains this year, at least not with the lenses I actually want. Looks like my wallet is pretty safe, so far...

Prices are not where they were last year at this time.
Inflation...not!!! Hoping you'll go for it early...yes!!!
I am waiting for Monday and then again might wait for the spread of one day sales of a specific lens that tend to follow. Know what you want, keep looking at your sites (especially Pentax Forums for heads up notice on great deals), and call your favorite store to price match or do better. Happy and successful hunting.

Perhaps they are focusing on a different set of lenses this year. I agree that the FA31 price is excellent for that lens.
