M Prime Lenses on a K-3

...just curious if anyone here uses M Prime lenses with a K-3?
With manual focus and metering....what is the procedure for using a lens like this on a digital DSLR?

I regularly use the M100/f4 Macro, M50/f4 Macro, and a Sigma MiniWide 28/2.8 Macro with my K-3.
I'm considering getting a Katz-Eye focusing screen, maybe even a second K-3 to go with it.

The M 50 f1.4 is one of my favorites:-) i usually shoot manual anyway, so it isn't that different from otherwise tbh.

...that is exactly the lens that I'm looking at getting. I've always wanted a fast 1.2 lens but thought that I'd start off with the 1.4 right now and see how I like it.
The M 50mm 1.4 is relatively inexpensive right now so it should be fun to get and play with

Don't just stop there for M, get the K, A and Takumars (m42) lenses and also third party k-mount/m42 lenses; Chinon, Sears, Rikenon, Yashinon, Porst. The list goes on...

It's a really nice lens. My copy is 40 years old and has bern around the world. It's got a loose element, so it isn't as sharp as it used to be, though :/

I got my 50mm 1.4 last night...Wow, what a great piece of metal and glass!! It is truly a work of art.
This thing definitely is on par with any FA or Leica lens out there.
The copy that I bought is flawless and just CLA'd. The focus ring is like butter and glass is absolutely perfect!
I can't believe that these lenses are out there on the market for so cheap...I paid a little extra for mine because it is in pristine condition and that is worth it to me....but still it was an absolute bargain @ $129.00 IMO.

I've been shooting with a manual focus Leica M8 so the manual focusing is not a big deal and the stop down metering is simply a matter of hitting the green button...not going to be as fast as AF but it makes you think and the photographs are so much more rerwarding shooting manually.
The test shots that I took look great but as with any lens there is a learning curve. I can't wait to take this out for a spin with the K-3 real soon.
Love this lens!!

The (A) 50/1.4 does very well in this shootout:

Nifty 50 Shootout : ERPhotoReview

Not sharp wide open, but stop it down and it's pretty amazing. Also, it has a reputation for nice soft bokeh (the nicest of all the Pentax/Takumar 50/55's, second only to the 50/1.2 - which of course is also the sharpest, rarest and most valuable).
