Hi Everyone, I am a bit of a noob (so please be gentle with me). I currently use my trusty k-x, usually with my Ricoh Pentax-a 50mm 1.7, to shoot portrait and lifestyle photography. I need to invest in a few new lenses but to be honest I am not in a place to drop multiple hundreds of dollars on a single piece of new equipment especially since this is just a hobby at this time.
I wanted to see what recommendations that other photographers have for reasonably priced lenses. I am fine with a clean used lens. I am also ok with manual focus but of course AF is a plus. Although I am not completely opposed to a manual aperture I definitely prefer the auto option. More so that I can easily track what # was used in each shot.
I do plan on upgrading my camera to the k-3 (I think) at some point if that helps
Are there other brands that are reputable? Any ones I should stay away from? Any additional tips/thoughts?
Here are some of the lenses I would like to add to my arsenal.
50mm 1.4
85mm 1.4 (in an ideal world) or 2
35mm 2.8 or wider
24-70mm 2.8
Thank you for any and all advice!
