Lens sale in EU....one coming to US?

I saw the article about the lens sale in EU/UK. Do they usually follow these things with sales in other regions? I'm hoping one comes to the US as the 16-85 looks attractive, but at $750 a little painful.

Are you serious? You guys have just had 9000< sales and discounts and rebates over the winter. This is the first one in the EU in months.

Sales in different regions don't usually influence each other, but with April coming up it's likely that at least a few price changes will be made in the US, since they tend to be adjusted on a monthly basis.
