Looks like the chinese company Mitakon will release a version of the new manual focus 85mm f1.2 for K mount later this year. Price will be around $800

Wow f2 is insufficient for enough people? Maybe their f2 will clearout for less

My seniments are much the same as Jim's. F2 seems fast enough... guess I'll wait for the deals

Some people will want it, just because they can.

A dumb reason to want a lens that isn't going to be anything special. Sub-par from the few samples in the other thread.

There's a whole lens club for such people ƒ1.2 only. They not only want to shove the "look I have an ƒ1.2 lens" in your face, they want to have a thread just for it's images. God knows you wouldn't want your images getting mixed in with those unwashed ƒ1.4 images.
