I'm seeing a focus hunting behavior issue with my 1.4x Teleconverter

K5 IIs with DA* 50-135
Daylight, sunny conditions at a soccer field
AF mode C
Have not performed a fine focus adjustment

Without the TC the AF is locking and staying locked
With TC the focus lock locks then it will hunt going in and out of focus
I tried to test them back to back with similar aperture and for sure the lens alone holds focus better.

Any ideas?

ALSO
1) the TC does not appear to show up in EXIF data (other than focal length). Is this true? Changeable?
2) if I did a fine focus calibration would it store this as a unique lens? I would have a fine focus for the 50-135 and a fine focus adjustment for the lens+TC?

Any thoughts, ideas? Anyone experiencing same?

Make sure you have the latest firmware for your camera model installed. It will make a difference.

There should be a field for it in the newest version of PDCU.

Sorry, what is PDCU? Is it a file used by the firmware or is it an output of the camera for the Post Pocessing software (Aperture 3.6 in my case) to use/read?
