Auto-Takumars

Recently started collecting these classics after seeing some great images from the Auto-Tak 55mm F2.2 displaying some fantastic bokeh.
They generally have more blades than the later Super-Takumars, some have semi-automatic apertures, from my limited use they all seem to render in B&W really well.
The 55/1.8 line leads directly to the Super-Tak which is one of the greatest unsung lens of all time (in my opinion).
Here's a few from the 55/2.2 Semi-Auto.

Great idea to have a dedicated thread for these unique lenses, and nice examples above. They really do render differently from the later Takumars, and there is nothing remotely like the Auto-Takumar 35/2.3!

The lenses all have a character of their own, with unusual bokeh, the Auto-Takumar 35/2.3 being the most swirly. I have four Auto-Takumars (but not the Auto-Takumar 85mm, sadly), plus one pre-set. Here are three from me, from the Auto-Takumar 55/2.2, a 55/1.8 zebra and a 55/2

Auto-Takumar 55mm F1.8 Zebra

Great pics guys, I took my 1.8/55 zebra out the other day for a good run and loved it.
It's a great focal length for street stuff and easy to focus.

Dead thread... but I love my Auto Takumar 35mm F3.5! There's just something about the look of it that I like.

On a K20D...

The five blades can also make a nice starburst. On a K-5.

And almost-a-self-portrait, on a K-3...

I haven't done much with it yet on the K-1 but I do plan on it!

Nice work, I must take mine out a bit more.
I've been caught with a K series bug for a while now.
