Rare 28mm/3.5?

I've come across this lens for the first time. Seemingly, it's a pancake, and the lack of info here has been quite intriguing. Is anybody familiar with this, and its IQ?

Thanks,

Was it in this thread? Douglas_of_Sweden mentions it and later includes a sample shot he found from someone. There's also a price watch thread from 2014 for an ebay listing of this lens which JayBee451 seems to have purchased.

Yup, I saw that thread, but it led to a blank wall.

Very neat find. You're right, not a lot of information out there about the lens. Considering that Ricoh rebadged many, (most?, all?), of
their lenses, you'd think there'd be something else like it but it appears to be unique. Curious to hear how it performs.

Produced from 1996-1997 and originally priced at 183 euros.

The Unofficial Guide to Ricoh SLR Cameras and Rikenon Lenses

Other lenses from that period were the 45/2.8 pancake, and the 55/1.2.

There were also some P lenses, 100/3.5 macro, 28-70/2.8-4, 28-105/2.8-4 macro, 35-70/3.4-4.5 macro, and 70-210/3.9 macro. The P lenses were produced right up to the end of Ricoh film SLR production around 1999.
