Ricoh's promo video on the DFA 150-450

Seems like Ricoh is really stepping up the game with the advertising and methods.

Nice video production, all features are covered without going with a talking head in a studio. I wish a smaller DA copy were offered but some day I'd like to have one.

Nice ad. That says a lot of Ricoh's commitment to Pentax IMHO.

"Use the AF button to recall a preset or engage AF"

Can somebody help me with the "recall a preset" part? What does that mean?

I assume that button can be programmed to change the AF mode or to turn off/on AF.

the button is used for setting the AF on a pre-recorded distance. So AF is direct to that distance.

Hmm, seems not too long ago one of the "nattering nabobs of negativism" aka "Pentax is doooomed" crowd was saying Ricoh is following in Hoya's footsteps in running the brand into the ground. This through lack of advertising, response to users wants and technical advances.

Great video! Loved the slowmo shot towards the end of him following the rider mid jump.

Yes, that's what I thought, too. Like the "snap focus" of the GR.

Cool video. I wonder if the K-3 was actually able to track those oncoming bikes in the first track segment. Spray 'n pray?

This lens is on my list, too. I wish Ricoh would do more promotions. I am tired of posting on the thread about how rare we are.
