Lens all of the sudden needs focus adjustment?

So my DA 50mm f1.8 has always focused accurately on my K30 without any adjustment, even when at f1.8, but recently I noticed it was back focusing pretty bad and I had to adjust it to +8. All my other lenses seem to focus as they always have, including my FA 77mm f1.8 which never needed adjustment and still does not at f1.8. Is it possible for a lens to all of the sudden need an adjustment? I am pretty sure it has been abused in any way since I don't loan my gear and take good care of it. Thoughts?

As a start, clean the data pin contacts/check that the contacts spring back as required? Maybe the camera is no longer getting the required AF data from the chip in the lens.

Pins spring back and I cleaned them again just for good measure. It is still focusing great at +8 adjustment. Very strange.

Wouldn't that affect all lenses?

Might I also add the DA 50mm 1.8 is focusing great at +8 in both live view and regular modes.

If the lens sustained a small amount of impact while in my camera bag, would any shock be enough to mis-align the elements inside? Perhaps I bumped into something without realizing it? Based on how the lens focuses internally, it seems it shouldn't sustain any damage from such an incidence as the lens barrel can't be tweaked in any way. And from what I can tell the lens still looks like new.
