Kleanza Creek

Hello Again,

I'd like to post another recently taken photograph from northwestern BC. We've had some good snowfalls the last few days. This photo was taken out at Kleanza Creek, east of Terrace, BC on the 17th of November.

The camera was on a tripod about 4 inches from the water. I would have liked to have included more water in the foreground but opted to catch the tops of the trees instead.

Take care - thanks for taking a look,

Ooh, I like those subtle hints of color below the water. It's a nice contrast from the almost monochromatic landscape above.

4" of water, you say? Is that a really narrow stream, or did you have boots on? I don't suppose you took your shoes off for this one!

Sorry, let me add some clarification there. The tripod was in the creek and the camera was about 4" or so above the water. And no barefoot stream wading this time of year. I was wearing boots.

I have some other shots that shot more of the colour in the stream but then less trees and such...tough call.

Did you try framing vertical to get both the tree tops and more water?

I think you made a good choice here. Just enough water with those lovely hints of color and the tree tops add a lot to the composition IMHO. I feel like I am standing in the water with you. Good job.

I'm a big fan of photo's taken just above the water so I really like this one. Looks rather cold though!

I too love this method. Great shot! Did you also take one with more water less trees?

Lovely scene really enjoy this one - try a vertical pano next time , best of both worlds.

Nice combination of colour and b&w, with excellent perspective.
