My fading Strelitzia

Playing around with my oldish Sigma 70-300 mm DL - not a great lens. I was using a monopod but tripod may improve quality.

I have a copy of that lens. I agree - I would not call it a great lens. But it is quite sharp as you have proven.

Thanks Rayallen.
It is interesting that you see the picture as sharp. I did not. my other lenses are a Sigma 18-200 and a sigma 10-20 which I use on my KX. The latter lens is probably the best but obviously limited in range. I still have lenses from my film era but have not used seriously. perhaps I should play with the 55/f1.8 a little but it is all manual.

Oh, don't let that stop you. It is not as hard as you might imagine. You can also use it in AV mode.

It looks quite sharp to my old, tired eyes! Nice work, little moose. I too have a copy of that lens but have yet to tinker with it. Your results make me want to take it along tomorrow when I go to the Boise Botanical Gardens!

Thanks

They are all back in flower again. No photos for me now as I have a broken shoulder blade, ripped tendons etc. Very nasty. but should be okay by Xmas.
