Trip to Bear Mountain
Lens: DA 18-55 Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Madawaska Ontario Canada
Posted By: normhead, 09-23-2014, 08:31 AM

We had as many as 6 visitors on the weekend, our annual Fall colours hike and sleep over and party until you drop-athon... mind you we all drop about 10 o'clock these days

We hauled everyone off to bear mountain.

There's not even a parking lot, you either know where this place is or you don't. There are no clues except for the emergency response sign.

Looks like the fall colours are coming along nicely. I don't see anyone wearing bug nets so that must make the hike even more enjoyable. I guess I'm at that age too, where 10:00 is a late night . Great to tag along on the hike through your photos.

Regards

We walked 6 km but it felt like 10 with all the up and down. I have the sore muscles to prove it...

The colours are down near the water... still green further up... I'm not sure why.

Wow just look at those random vibrant reds.

Your a good bit ahead of us with your Autumn, we're still just going into the yellow phase.

The reds are just on fire this weekend, it might have been the peak for them.

They are classified as "near peak". Another week and they should be even better.

We get yellows from poplars later, the Red and sugar maples come first..
