Tried a different approach than I usually do. Making the subject and background lined up a little. And PP is more low contrast and lower saturation than what you can see on my 500px page. Please comment

I don't think its OoF, but the DoF is so shallow. The in-focus part is just one millimeter at the crown. I thought that would be a better choice than only a little ring of the texture on the front petal being in focus. Maybe this can be better seen at the bigger size on the link. Due to the close focus, stopping down more wouldn't change much of the DoF, but it would affect the little bokeh ball in the back. Thanks for looking and commenting, though! I'll keep it in mind next time

The link is far better than the posted shot. The subtlety of the techinque does not come thru on the posted shot, it is good technique and composition, but i like the linked shot better.
