I saw that you scanned with Epson V500.
Is it scanned with Digital ICE dust removal?
There are several spots (dust?) on it.

Yes, and no. I noticed that the ICE was not working very well on this set of scans. I had the filter set to "heavy", for one frame, then set it to "none" for the same frame, and could not see any difference, so i finished off the roll, without it, as it speeds up the process.
I also gave up on the idiotic scanner frames that Epson supplied, and used two picture frame glass to sandwich the negs. I got newton rings on some of the color negatives, but did not notice any on the b/w films.
I may try to get some polycarbonate to use instead of glass. i noticed that the glass has scratches that get scanned also.

Thank you for your answer!
I think that polycarbonate could be scratched more easily than glass. What is the advantage using it?

I agree the plastic would be more easily scratched, however, the glass is scratched "now", I think I am capable of preventing scratches, but the ones that exist? I also think the plastic might prevent the newton rings. Not sure, just a thought.
