Wait, this is in Washington? Reminds me a lot of the Museum of Civilization in Ottawa, Canada! Cool buildings

Have not been to DC since 1960. About time to go again.

Nice photograph of a great building with a greater collection of Native American art. I've been there, and am a regular at the NYC NMAI. I also visited the original Gustav Heye Museum uptown years ago. That was a primitively exhibited but dense and amazing presentation of Native American art and objects. I am glad that they have more proper homes today, and much wider audience as well.

It is the original MAI, his collection is something like 80-85% of what is in the national museums now. It was in the Audubon Terrace area of Manhattan, around 150th St, with a warehouse in the Bronx. It was the Museum of the American Indian, the collection of Gustav Heye. The NYC NMAI is named the Gustav Heye Center.

Nice capture. Like the curves in the building. Did you try in B&W?

Its not often you see interesting curvy buildings like this, I wonder how many people stop and actually look and see this.

having visited many sites in the s/w of the Native Americans I would really like to view this one day. Great angle selection on your photo, TFS.
