I wanted to share two shots of kids. The shots were taken on Kodak Gold 200 with a Yashica Electro TL X and a Yashica Yashinon DS-M 50mm f/1.7 lens. I scanned the negatives with my K-30 and a D-FA 50mm f/2.8 lens. So there's still some Pentax mixed in here.
The image was processed in Apple Aperture.
Kodak Gold 200 is considered one of the "cheap" films and I avoided it. The only reason I bought it was to test film bodies. Why tear through pricier Fujichrome when I can risk Gold for less, right? Now I feel bad that I avoided it myself in the past. The grain is consistent and I think the emulsion is capable of resolving good detail. Gold has a certain flavor to it. A glowing warmth, maybe? It feels like it sits in between Portra and Ektar. I'm thinking of making it one of my go-to films.
Anyways, the shots ...
