Unfortunately I didn't have the right lens with me and the Tamron at full stretch is not the best.

Haha, nice one! Really great, colourful little bid peeking out of a white, oddly shaped tree! You might want to revisit the scene with a better suited lens, because its a great photo! I wouldn't even change the framing much, only a lens that might have better focus and sharpness for this task.

Thanks.
Unfortunately that would mean a 4 hours flight and with the uncertainty of finding the place again and to get the bird co-operating makes this an impossibility.
