Experienced direct sunlight for the first time in about a month. That was awesome. Got some cool pictures too!

I'm sure living way up north, you really appreciate the sun peeking out this time of year!
Lovely landscape, I can feel the cold!

Cool is the right word. Lovely shot Zoe. Foreground reflection provides good balance.

Personally I think I would have exposed for the highlights a bit more (ie underexposed by a stop or so) and brought up everything else in PP, but that is nitpicking.

I dunno, I kinda like the highlights a little blown out, reminds me how intense seeing the sun is.

If you haven't seen the sun, you can't have too much of it!

Same dilemma with sunsets I think.

Yeah, for sure! This is probably the first sunlight I'd seen in a month-- my family (who I was out skiing with, and who live further south than I do, where there's no polar night) kept having to wait for me, I was just basking in the sun :P

Do I need to ship you some aloe vera for that sunburn you are likely to get? Lovely shot. I like it a lot.

Nothing helps sunburn quite like a roll in the snow!

Awesome! I think you might want to play with the balance a bit, just to bring out the foreground (but without brightening the highlights any further) but you certainly got a great shot.
