They are the oldest church in town, back to the 1930s when Swami Yogananda bought the ocean-front property for a retreat. This being southern California, it all worked out fine. They fit right in, mellow, nice people. Have no idea what their beliefs are, but they maintain seriously beautiful and tranquil public gardens. A good outfit.
