A nice series of old boats. The construction of the oars shows the resourcefulness of the locals.

Thank you Jer, for many Haitian people real life is way worse than what I was able to show here.

Hi Bob and thank you, I found that in spite of being really poor most of them were in remarkable good spirits.

Hi Bruce and thank you. When I saw these old rickety boats way off shore without benefit of any sort of power except muscle, I wondered why I used to need a spare outboard on our 16 foot fishing boat.
