Before daybreak........

Most mornings I was up on deck 16 an hour before sunrise. It's quiet and peaceful, the only other people that one meets are the occasional security guard and some maintenance/cleaning personal. Here are some images from those early mornings:

Very nice images, I see you shot at somewhat higher ISO. I assume handheld work because of the ship's rocking?

Heinrich, these are truly outstanding. Great night photography - your early rising paid off big time.

Thank you, all handheld not because of the movement of the ship, it is pretty quiet but because on air travel and cruises I do not take a tripod, way too much hassle.

Hi Jer and thank you. Since late nights at my age are not an option anymore getting up early is not a hardship.

Take care everyone.

you have the place to yourself Heinrich, getting up early has its benefits but I'm a lazy butt that loves to sleep in a bit. The colors captured are really great, I enjoyed the first class views you gave us.

Hi Bob and thank you, glad that you liked them. As I said earlier, late nights are no longer an option so getting up early is easy.

Take care,

You have just restored my faith in the human race... as it's not just me then, that does this sort of thing at that time in the morning.

Thank you, we might be up for different reasons, since at 82 I can't take the late nights with associated beer and scotch anymore it's easy to get up early in the morning
