I saw this old Pontiac parked beside the road and was fascinated by it. I couldn't decide which photo I liked best, so here's several.

Nice set--the last is my favorite...the quarter-profile and DOF makes for a dynamic image. (BTW, congrats on the new lens--our friendly ranger, Mole, really works magic with his copy, so it ought to treat you right.)

That just seems to me a crying shame to let an old vehicle like that get to the this level of dejection in a public place.

Nice photo's...my favourite is the last one....great angle, etc.

BTW, the Pontiac car was named after Chief Pontiac....a famous Indian chief from around the Detroit area...many years ago.

I believe the hood ornament...very art deco...represents Chief Pontiac.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Yep, I thought it was a cool old car. Sitting in the back seat was something special. Hard to describe.... but the feeling was a lot like being in an old barn.

Great shots, they are all excellent. You are making that FA 50mm really show what it can do. I see you are using a K50. I have been considering one as a backup to my K3. From what I see here I couldn't go wrong with one.

This is a group of absolutely marvelous compositions - automotive photography at its best. Also brings back memories of my early childhood in the '50s when my Dad owned a series of Pontiacs with the Chief adorning their hoods.

Thanks, Jer. Yep, my dad also owned a '53 Pontiac Chieftan. Big 4=door sedan, dark green with a long straight-8 engine. Ran very smooth and quiet. I can remember the HUGE back seat!

Like the other gentlemen of a "certain age" I too recall these old timers.

Well done.
