the American Bald Eagle......

which is the US National Emblem selected because of its long life, great strength and majestic looks,. I'm sure glad the turkey wasn't chosen as Ben Franklin suggested in 1782, photos taken at a bird of prey live exhibition. I was able to get up close for the photos which were shot with the K5 and 70mm lens.

they certainly are Grant, quite impressive to view close up, the wingspan is huge. Hence the saying "soar like an eagle"

for sure, but I wouldn't want to leave any babies unattended if they were close by. I read where they can actually pick up small deer they are so strong.
