Puzzles in the Dark
Lens: FA 31 Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Home

Early Friday evening, while enjoying the beginning of a weekend visit from granddaughter Claire, we suffered the second major storm of the week, which knocked out power overnight. Thus: no juice, no cable, no TV, no computer, no internet!

Tragedy? Not at all. We made an adventure of it, playing with flashlights, playing hide and seek inside, and working puzzles by torchlight.

Here are some shots of Claire intensely focused on puzzle construction.

Must have been fun (well, in some way ...) and a great experience. The BW conversions are excellent Jer, great job!

A very beautiful granddaughter. Then again, all grandchildren are beautiful. There are some nice shots here. The memories, and shared moments. I always tend to read more into what I see. Probably why we take pictures.
Thank you for sharing

Not for you perhaps... but no internet to younger folk is like losing a limb.

Thank you! Grandkids are wonderful, indeed. I'm glad you liked the shot of our little "adventure in the dark."

She's turning into a lovely young lady......seems like only yesterday she was just a "little kid"......Guess we are getting old Jer.....it does happen, they say. You made great use of the light you had.
I have only sons and only grandsons....in the even the electricity went out here when they were younger, we hid until it came back and hoped for the best. Boys and bears in the dark are scary critters!

Regards!

Thanks, Rupert, for the very kind words. Time passes so quickly at our age; as they say: when you reach 65, Christmas seems to come every two months.
