In my 35 years in Oregon, I never explored Hug Point. Silly me.

Looks to be a place of many photo ops, over multiple visits from now on though.

It was raining lightly, so the many caves came in handy for drying the non-WR lenses. As usual, I used the Tamron 17-50/2.8 mostly, along with the DA70 and A50/2.8.

The greens are not unrealistically saturated. This is their color in an octopus's garden in the shade.

The caves are usually underwater.

Gorgeous setting and you did the coast justice. Perfect shutter speed on the waterfall too.

Nice captures! We're driving down 101 for a Tillamook micro-vacation this weekend, one more place to stop and see No minus tides this week, though...

Oh, very very nice... I love the siltstone textures and erosional patterns! Depoe Bay is rumored to be the second-best launch site for kayak fishermen on the Oregon coast, but I've never been there. Looks like a fun area, whether minus tides or pluses.

What do you use for tide info? Annual booklets, online, ? I like a nice basic graph like Tides at Gig Harbor, Puget Sound, Washington, built from the raw NOAA data, but his site doesn't go that far south...
