I hope you printed that wonderful shot. Someday when she is much older, it will be priceless to her and her loved ones. Shots of that nature are my most memorable and satisfying shots (squirrels aside). I have quite a few that I consider priceless too, and they still bring joy to my eyes when I view them.

Photography is not always about IQ and Pro quality, it is about life, people, and your heart. A photo can capture those feelings in a moment of time that will last forever. You did it with that shot...priceless!

I'll print this large and post it at her wedding someday...if I am still around!

Regards!

Thanks for the reply and very insightful comments, Rupert. You and I think alike a great deal. I take a lot of photos of the neighborhood kids.... I'm known at the "surrogate grandpa" on the cul-de-sac. Quite often, I print them off and pass them on to the parents. We're a pretty tight-knit group, very Mayberry-like in our daily lives. I'm a lucky man to live in such a place, especially at this point in my life.

I've looked at this delightful shot several times - her focus on her pink tea set is heart warming. Reminds me of when my kids and now my granddaughter were little.

This shot made my day.

It's cute! I really like your title. It evokes a feeling of lonliness but the girl probably isn't lonely. Kids are so good at imagining things that she's surrounded by her favorite people in her head.
