I've always admired and tried to imitate the many great insect photographers on the forum. Since I usually shoot manual lenses, the insects often move before I can capture them in focus. So to solve this problem I found a few dead insects on my porch (those suckers can't scurry away)....

Use of flash will stop them dead in their tracks or shoot early in the morning before the weather warms up, they'll be slow.
