Perhaps You Can Identify this "Unusual" Flower Bud · 09:27 AM

Perhaps you can help me identify this flower bud, which felt leathery and stiff.

I took this with the SMCP 35-70mm f/4 at its "macro" mode. I sharpened this more than I usually do since this zoom is rather soft even at f/8. However, the contrast and the bokeh are decent. This is a nice walk-around lens with a focal length that suits my style.
