It's ironic that the occurrences of today shape the future of tomorrow.When we got back from a month's stay in Florida I started up the 2 cars. The green 1999 Honda LX Accord with only 59000 original miles suffered another fluid line failure right off the bat.The lines on the rack and pinion let go and that was the final straw.The car runs great but I replaced many lines in the past year.The grey 2007 Honda is a jewel with only 55000 miles.To make a long story short I sold the 99 for $2500(the low mileage and condition was a major selling point.) The Toyota Avalon is a sweet ride.In my lifetime it's only the 3rd. brand new car that I have ever owned.--That my friends is the story of the Avalon--charliezap

Looks like you're riding in style, Capn. Those Accords will run a long way - Connie kept her 2000 model for 12 years (96,000 miles) before she succumbed to the car fever I contract at much more frequent intervals. My father-in-law has owned a couple of Avalons and they've been bullet proof.
