Death Valley National Park with flowers in bloom

Another day trip from our time in Las Vegas. Death Valley is very desolate, but the spring flowers were starting to show - amazing in that climate!

Nice tour of the area.
I get a kick of the "Artist Drive" sign messing up the view for photographers. What's up with that? Hahaha
Is it a two-lane blacktop? Looks very narrow, but nice wide sand shoulders, I guess for the people pulling off to take in the scenery?

It is a one way blacktop road with several marked parking areas - you are not supposed to pull off into the sand so you either stop in the road or wait for a parking area. Very little traffic the day we were there so I just stopped in the road a few times.

One of our favorite parks. (I say that about each and every national park). Surprising terrain and absolutely beautiful in a desolate kind of way. Thanks for taking me back there.

We have been to most of the National Parks, and we have yet to find one we did not enjoy. Always worth another trip.
