Yes you pretty well have the reds right. Are you using a noise reduction program as that would help?

Yes, I do have a noise reduction program. I did not intend to sharpen the photo, just left it as it was. I do believe I lose some artifacts when uploading from camera to computer and uploading here. I have a Pentax k100d Super Camera which I am aware has had its issues with the red channel in its limited Dynamic Range. I believe most of the digital cameras of that era had the same problem. I know my Nikon D70 certainly does, so I have to make allowances for that.

Yes it is a little soft but the red color is spot on.
