Gulf Shores, AL
Lens: DA 16-85 Camera: K-3

Some of the prettiest, most vibrant sunsets on the Gulf. Nice state park here but they started playing around with their reservation system and got it so screwed up that it may never get fixed. Still, the view from the campground (last two shots) are pretty nice. Really like the lens.

Stunning skies, particularly in the first one. A replacement for my K-x is on the cards this year.

That first shot for sharpness and colour is a ripper and the other two are top notch too.

Beautiful! Gulf Shores is where we spent our honeymoon. In a school at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, got married after classes on Friday afternoon, dropped her mom off at the Mobile airport Saturday morning, got really bad sunburns, and back in classes Monday morning... I don't think Gulf Shores had such a skyline back then!

Like most beach properties, it has most likely changed a lot. Thankfully, the national seashore is just across the Florida line and it remains pretty pristine.

Very nice, Susan. I haven't been at Gulf Shores since 1978, when we drove down from Ohio for a week's vacation. I looks like the place has moved upscale a bit since then.

They have Jer. Even the campground acts like it is a 5 star resort. It isn't. Still enjoy the area especially since the national seashore is so close.
