Catching the rays
Lens: DFA 100 2.8 macro Camera: K5ii ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/320s Aperture: F11

It's finally got warm enough to bring out the macro wildlife Caught this bee doing a spot of sunbathing.

Incredible detail. Great background and really like the shadow.

Thanks, I invested in a decent monopod and a ball head, the bee was still for quite some time so it was a bit easier than it usually is.

Nice capture, this is a fly. Probably a syrphid fly of some sort.

Very well captured, really.

Fewer critters try to eat them if they look like bees or wasps!
They're important pollinators, too. Flies play a big role.
