Landscape Rendering

I found this picture from one of my old cameras - Olympus E-300 with a 14-54mm zoom. I think it has a similar rendering quality to the DA15.
I think it is surprising, because the 14-54 has a lot of lens elements and the coatings are a lot worse than Pentax's.

Maybe there is a something in the way CCD sensor in E-300 renders, because I keep coming back to the old 4/3rds cameras.
