Canmore, da15 ltd, and interval composite mode
Lens: da15 ltd Camera: k3 Photo Location: canmore, ab ISO: 100

Was in Canmore for the day today while my girlfriend was off riding her mountain bike in preparation for a big race she's doing soon. So I had some time to wander around with the wiener dog and take some pics. didn't really get much done with my day as the weather was pretty bleak, and i didn't really have many ideas.

this one is the 15 ltd with cpl, f14, 1/100, iso 100, 24 shots average blending mode

the sky softened quite well, but the edges are awful. a function of the da15 i suspect

this is again the 15 ltd with an nd8 filter, f16, 1/4, iso 100, 10 shots average blending mode

and this one is just a single exposure, cpl filter, f14, 1/125, iso 100, a bit surprised by the flare. maybe the cpl?

this is the view you get as you are coming into the area, it's a glorious corridor, and i liked how you could see the layers in the mountains

Lovely! I borrowed the 15mm ltd from a friend over the easter holidays - and these make me realise how much I miss it...

It is nice to see the water looking like milk in the picture of the fall. Clever to use low shutter speed in order to get this result.

thanks for the comments.

the interval composite mode definitely made the "milky water" look. a single exposure wouldn't have been as smooth as having 10 stacked the way that pentax does it. it's a very useful tool and worth investigating.
