Beautiful. Really beautiful series. I especially like number three, he appears to saying, "What the heck are you looking at?" )

Thanks for some lovely photography.

Antonio.

Thank you Antonio! It is always such a thrill to be able to photograph such beautiful birds, especially those that you don't see often!

With these photos, I also noticed that his beak is "two-toned"; black on the end. Haven't seen that in other birds.

I like the affects you get with that camera/lens combination. Interesting that you used a 1.4 teleconverter. I imagine that helped a lot with the bokeh being as awesome as it is. That k-3 seems to be quite the workhorse.

Again, thanks.

Let me guess those were handheld? Very nice seems that TC is working well for you judging by the IQ and focal length. I wish I could just see birds like this in my area.

Tony, I'm very impressed with the results I'm getting with the 1.4 TC and the 55-300. It never leaves that lens now!

I thought so . I need more camera time before I can pull off shots like that.

Thanks for sharing the pics though because it also brightens my day when I see them.

I like the background of the first two. Posture of the Goldfinch in #2 makes it my favorite of a well done series.

Nice shots of a bird that I have caught shots of in almost every season. In winters they do lose their colour and go rather pale.

Also, the burred background in first two shots gives a dreamy effect. You nailed it!
