Since you asked plus a little history.
I bought this Porsche 914 in 1986 shortly after getting a chance to drive one I was hooked right away.

I converted this 914 into a /6 in 1988 with a 1973 911-T 2.4 liter engine, 911 Carrera front suspension & brakes, 911SC rear brakes, etc. (I did all the work).
The engine had ~90K miles on it when I bought it and swapped it in. The same engine is still running strong today.
I have put an additional ~210K miles on the engine and 914 since the /6 conversion.

It is a blast to drive and is very reliable. Hop in, turn the key, Neet Neet VROOOM !
I drive it all the time, to work etc., whenever there is no rain in the forecast
It keeps up with traffic no problem.

And to think this used to be someone's pride & joy at one time. Well spotted.

Poor old 914...whether a 4 or a 6 I cannot tell from the photograph. If those wheels are stock I would guess that it's a 4. Always thought they were interesting cars in their time and I kind of liked their look.

Even if it gets buffed out and gets a good detailing...I still think there will be plenty of additional work.

Thank you much, EM. Yeah - when I see an old car - particularly a special one like the 914 - in this sort of shape, I wonder what story it could tell if it could talk.

Hey, Les - I'm betting it's a 4.

I hope so too, and I'd love to drive a 6.
