One morning last June...........
Lens: Bigma Camera: K 3 Photo Location: Alberta, Canada ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/4000s Aperture: F8

.......I had spent considerably time watching a pair of Mountain Blue Birds feeding young ones in a nesting box without getting even one decent shot. They were not acting like usual were they sit a few feet away from box and check for intruders.
In the meantime there were some really tiny butterflies around and I couldn't even a get picture of them. Than all of a sudden the male sits on the fence right by the nesting box looking at me like to say: you were waiting for this? I got 2 very quick shots before he went into the box to feed the butterfly to the young.

Right time, right place! Great photos, I especially like #2, as he looks like he's patiently waiting for that human to hurry up & get the shot, so he can go feed the babies!

I bet after the first shot the bird looked due to camera noise. It certainly seems he's looking directly at the camera. Great shots.

Thank you, without patience nothing much happens in nature photography.

Hi Jer and thank you. With birds, if you snooze you loose. (goes for some other things as well)
