Trainshooting in Guangzhou

So I had a chance to go to Guangzhou for some trainshooting. Photos are organized by the lens used.

Very nice series! It was interesting to see the lok 2000 outside of Switzerland.

Love the first shot with the Minolta 50mm, by the way. Great composition.

Number five is interesting - it must be a very long passenger train to need twenty thousand horsepower!

China apparently has a grand total of two; there are quite a few serving in Finland and Norway.

Actually it is for redundancy and to separate HEP/ETS and motive power.

MTR (Hong Kong) apparent abuses these two engines a lot, as failures happen from time to time. They actually put the two engines in a push-pull config, and they run 6 trains a day between Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
