I love my watches (and yours) too! Nice piece and nice job photographing it. Maybe we should start a "watch photos' thread, I would contribute.

Beautiful looking timepiece. This is a very nice wake up call, as I am an avid watch collector. Having been made in Germany is assurance of an excellent quality piece. Very well executed photograph. Many thanks for sharing.

Lovely pix. I'm also a watch fan. I have a Swiss timepiece that has been reliably ticking away....on my wrist... for almost 34 years. My wife gave it to me as an engagement gift.

Actually, the light is perfect! But I don´t like this wood hand. Looks a bit unpleasant.

Congratulations upon reaching an important milestone. Best of everything for the future. It will be 39 years for us in October. Just doesn't seem possible.

I believe there is a watch photography thread here somewhere. I noticed it once and would like to find it again.

To the original poster, I can see four, maybe five jewels in the escapement. Do you know how many there are in total? Nice looking automatic timepiece, the rotor is in great shape, along with the wheel train and balance assembly. I have a feeling (strong) that this may end up at the top of my Christmas list. ) Thanks again for sharing.

It's actually a manual wind movement with 17 jewels. A Valjoux 7760
