Originally posted by Tonytee Well my goodness. If this isn't just about the most wonderful wildlife ever taken, I cannot imagine what is. It is difficult to understand how the hawk could possibly carry one of these animals away. However, I know when I am really hungry, I would do just about anything for a free meal. RAW EVEN!

for truth of advertising purposes,
the hawk is actually about 100-150 yards behind the doe. the deer is on a rocky outcrop, then there is a steep and wide gully, and then another rocky outcrop, and then another steeper and wider gully, and then the rock face with trees in the background.
the magnification does not show the correct perspective, and the hawk is actually hunting over the gully next to the rock backdrop, quite a ways closer to the trees.
the hawk has no interest in that deer, whatsoever.
