Fabulous photos but I am REALLY going to have nightmares! That's funny since I work at the morgue (in the lab) where mangled bodies are humdrum but oh those scary bugs.

You are now required to post equally spectacular photos of something to soothe the nightmares!

Please.

I thought the beefly shots were the best ever until I saw the last one. That expression is just so cute!

I am a macro lover and rarely I have seen so stunning shoots !

You proove that passion, effort and technique (and get up early in the morning ) is key to success ..far more than the most expensive high tesk equipment!

There is material for a beautifull book for curious people and small worlds lover!

Absolutely fantastic shots. You definitely need to keep submitting these to PPG.

TRULY AMAZING!!!

well your photos should silence once & for all pentax naysayers in other forums

from what i've read you use the k100D & i'm amazed at how much you can get from the 6.1mp body, btw i use the same model

maybe you should consider coming out with a macro kit consisting of the flash extender/diffuser for the in cam flash, bracket/diffuser for outboard flash (maybe manufactured in china) packaged with some auto extension tubes & sell them starting in this forum along with a step by step guide to macro photography

Wow, thanks a lot for Your opinions I'm very happy You like my shots
dannyb quite interesting suggestion
My main goal for this season is taking pictures in natural light. This task ain't no easy, but I'm still learning, and here's some samples from yesterday
Polyommatus icarus 1.
icarus 2.
Icarus 3.
Icarus 4.
Icarus 5.
For this pictures I used the Tamron 90/2.8, and one blende made of a white paper
Another technique I use is combining natural light with a fill flash. Usually I use Sigma 70-300 APO attached to 3 extension tubes (for lowering the focusing distance) and Metz 48AF-1 at 1/8-1/16 flash power with a diffuser. Result is shown below
Icarus 6.

This thread is outerworldly. By far the best macro photo's I've ever seen. Just baffling.

Also, quite educating. I never knew insects are/can be covered with so much hair.
