K3 Focus confirmation beep - can I turn it off?

The beep that happens when focus confirms is sometimes annoying when shooting wildlife - is there a way of turning it off? Have consulted manual but no joy.

yes, go to camera settings with a ranch icon and 5th menu setting will be sound setings

Yeah, that's an annoying beep because it's not focus confirmation, just telling you a focus point is active...better to not even hear it.
I turned off the sound effects on my Q as well, because it was distracting at events. The green confirmation box was all I need, and the shutter itself is pretty quiet, no need for some cheesy sound effect making it louder.

I agree that the beep can be annoying, but on my cameras (K-3 and recently departed K10D), it happens at the same time as the green hexagon as an indication of focus acquisition. This is explicitly stated on page 32 of the K-3 manual. It is sort of nice in a way if you are tracking a subject and want to keep your eye on the viewfinder frame. Perhaps it would be good to point out that the volume is adjustable as well.
