Thanks for all your Responses

YONGNUO – YN560-TX Now Available! | FLASH HAVOC

The YN-560-TX transmitter units are now available
UPDATE - There are now Canon and Nikon version YN560-TX available. Both versions will operate with any camera model which have a standard hotshoe, the dedicated Canon and Nikon function is just for the flash wake up feature.

I actually Emailed Yongnuo , the Canon or Nikon version both work. Works on any camera with a STD Hot-shoe, Looking forward to using the 560 TX controller with both YN560 III Speedlights.

I guess so, you can try with the miniphone cable.
I think the only difference is the pin number and position of them, beware of getting them stuck in your hotshoe in case you use a canon version.

I have the Canon version on order, to use with my K3.

Is it going to get stuck in the hot shoe of the K3?

Peter , I haven't had the YN-560 Tx Controller stuck in the Hot shoe yet ,, it is a Tight fit but with a little persuasion it easily slides off , I also use it on the Sony A7R Hot shoe as well and it hasn't been stuck there either .Try not to yank it too hard , turn the camera with lens pointing towards the ground place your thumb on the back of the controller and with a side to side motion slide it off.

@ Gerry , I m not sure about the canon version "wake up" function works wirh pentax , I can certainly check and let you know.

Yeah, as Fosforito said, the Nikon version works with the flash wake-up so I was curious as to the Canon version if it did the same.

Mine has just arrived.

The config to get it to work with the 560 III receiver in remote control mode is very non-obvious but eventually I got there... The 560-III manual says nothing about this remote controller; you have to use the RF-602 mode and then it just magically starts working (or not). Similarly, the 560-TX manual says nothing about configuring the 560-III.

It lacks an auto power down so the first time you forget to turn it off, the batteries are gone. So I stuck a huge "OFF" label on top of it, as a reminder. The two AA batteries, even the most expensive grade, will last about 24hrs. The 560-III receiver does have power-down.

It is certainly convenient to be able to vary the flash power remotely.

The range is very good - I tested it to about 30m and that was the length of our garden... In comparison, the RF-602TX works up to about 15m.

I didn't have to change anything on the 560III, just watched this video, then pushed both ZOOM/CH and Hz/FN on the 560 TX, then the center button on the 560III, and I was done.

Theoretically, it's in section 6 of the 560-TX manual, but it's written/translated in such a way that you have to already know what it means to know what it means...
