Thanks to Kyle/Special K for passing on the honor of hosting this week's Weekly Challenge. As the title states, the subject is "unusual perspective." I'm looking for photos that are presented in something other than the typical way. Photos captured from down low or up high, or in any way other than the one we
expect to see.
Examples please! Here goes:
Grocery Shopping Shot from near floor level.
Chimney at Abandoned Hospital Most expect the chimney to point toward the top of the picture.
In Falls' Spray Shot while on my belly.
Redfeather Shot while resting (bent forward over my poles) during the climb of a steep slope.
Frosty Flakes Most expect the trees to "grow" from the bottom of the picture but I wanted to emphasize the falling of the sun-loosened flakes.
The challenge will run until 0600 Eastern Standard Time on Monday 2 March, a bit short of a week, and I hope no one objects. I'll be out of town from Tuesday onward, and would like to give judging a fair amount of attention before I go.
The fine print
Everyone is eligible to send in their best interpretation of the given theme, as long as the photo is taken with a Pentax/Samsung camera. Themes can be subject-oriented or technique-oriented.
Rules
1. Post ONE photo per entry.
2. The photo must portray an interpretation of the theme.
3. Post your single picture in this thread and optionally explain what motivated you to take the picture and/or how you feel it represents the weekly theme (especially if it's not obvious).
4. The challenge is interactive. Any response is welcome.
5.The judge will pick the WINNERS and choose one of them to be the judge for the next week.
6. This challenge runs until 0600 Monday morning EST, with an additional day for the judge to choose the winners.
7. Any Pentax (or Samsung DSLR) camera can be used.
8.
Pictures can be from any time frame, not just within the week of the current theme.
9. In case the winner of a challenge is unable to become the judge for the next challenge, they will PM the #2 winner for that person to be the judge.
Have fun, guys and gals! Let's see what exciting pictures you can come up with.
